Before we got married our pastor gave us an analogy of how this whole marriage business was going to go. I think this may be because of a few reasons.
One, I was 27 and G was 31 when we got married, ie – we were both used to running the show in our own lives and calling the shots.
Two, we are both dominant personalities, ie – we were both used to running the show in our own lives and calling the shots.
Three, we both like to run the show in our own lives and call the shots.
Do you see where I’m going with this? I thought so.
So anyway, he said that as the husband, Garrett was the Coach of our team. Garrett LOVED this and was about ready to crown my pastor as a genius because he thought he was saying that he was “the boss.”

Sidenote: I don’t know much about football, but can’t the QB call “audibles” when they want and change the play on the field? Like when the coach says you have enough shoes already, but then you’re at the store and you see a really cute pair that you want so you just buy them anyway? I think I’m really going to like being a quarterback. It feels very natural.
